Teaching and Learning Conference
During the LaTC 2018 Teaching and Learning Conference at Camberwell College of Arts we conducted a participatory workshop which included staff, students and alumni of the Graphic Design programme at Camberwell. This workshop served as a space to explore our research – such as the Letterpress Reading Group – with a new and expanded pool of participants.
By explicitly introducing complexity, depth and nuance into the various questions which circulate around, beyond and within typography (and/as language), we expanded our understanding of typography as a 'known' practice with academics familiar and/or interested in this field. Throughout the workshop we introduced some of the methods and questions that ‘Interpolate’ engages with, and discussed possible future research avenues by using David Bohm’s process of ‘free dialogue’ in as our guide.
